  1. Hi Cindy!

My wife and I are in the process of adopting from China and would love the opportunity to speak with you about adopting from Taiwan and what the experience was like for you. Thing is, we have a boy on the way (our first), and we know we want a girl…Does Taiwan adopt girls??

    Thanks so much,

  2. Cindy says:

    Hi Jody,

Yes, I know of several families who have adopted girls from Taiwan. From my experience, it seems the wait times for infant girls tends to be longer than those open to adopting boys. I would encourage you to check with the agency we used, For Every Child, or another Taiwan adoptive program to find out current wait times (Heartsent and Journeys of the Heart have good programs, too, from what I’ve heard from other families). Best wishes with your new son and your adoption journey!
