The view from the 27th floor

We have arrived in Tainan, where we will meet our baby boy in less than 24 hours. We chose to stay at the Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel based on the recommendation of another adoptive family. Wow! This place is beautiful. When we arrived (3-4 hours before the hotel’s check-in time), the staff ushered us to the front desk and immediately started checking us in to our room. They escorted us to a special check-in lounge area and served us tea while completing our paperwork, and we were checked in to our room on the 27th floor before noon. Such great service…and the view from our room – check it out!

If you look towards the top right, you can see the ocean. Such a beautiful day in Tainan!

I found a “Pillow Menu” in our room’s guest services book. We can indicate the pillow of our choice: contour, bolster, buckwheat or foam pillow, because “sleep is an essential part of the daily cycle and choosing the correct pillow is vital in rejuvenating your mental and physical health.”  That sounds like a good reason to me – so I am requesting foam pillows for us, please! Here are a couple of photos of our room. We’re heading out to pick up some items for our baby…more about our adventures in Tainan later!

So excited that you are about to meet your baby! It feels like yesterday when we met our son (it was only a month ago!). Take it all in. It’s a wonderful and amazing moment.
