Adoption Update: Waiting, praying, hoping. . .

This is the part of our adoption journey where we sit and wait. Our paperwork has been in Taiwan for a couple of weeks, and I hope the court process is moving along smoothly. We recently received new photos of our little boy – he is just precious and looks much like his big brother. (We will wait until a Taiwan court approves our adoption and he is our son before posting photos of him.)

Meanwhile, I contacted our travel agent to see how much airfare is right now for trips to Taiwan. He gave me a ballpark estimate but added he hopes we travel before June, because apparently the airfare jumps significantly in June. I checked some online sites and the airfare goes up by several hundred dollars in June. Apparently it is the start of peak summer travel time, and I’m guessing it will stay that way for a couple of months. I would love to bring our son home in April or May, but we will just have to wait and see. I’m praying the judge in our case moves quickly and we’ll have good news soon about travel dates.
