“Carnival of Taiwan” float at Rose Parade (January 1, 2008)

Taiwan-based China Airlines’ (CAL) float won the international award for most beautiful entry from outside the United States at this year’s Rose Parade in Pasadena, California.  The 55-foot float represented Taiwan’s symbol of joyous celebration, the golden lion.  The China Post said this is the 17th time CAL has won this award at the Rose Parade.  The float finished fourth overall in the voting for the most beautiful entry.
