My husband, Dave, gets credit for finding out about KFC and the human Christmas tree. He's been reading T. R. Reid's book "Confucius Lives Next Door" and came across the Christmas Eve KFC-craze in Japan.

KFC for Christmas Eve?? It makes me feel terrible to know we're exporting our greasy heart-attack-on-a-drumstick to a country where their diet is pretty healthy!!!

I can't wait to see pictures of the human Christmas tree!! You always have such interesting info on your blog, Cindy. :)

I, too, was surprised by the advancement of Christmas in Asian countries- but I do think it's all about the companies trying a new tactic to increase sales of their product. Maybe when people start wondering why they should buy trees and gifts, they will discover the Saviour at the root of it all.

Happy Christmas to you,
